The Thought Behind the Form

Hello! My name is Erin Kubat

I am a ceramicist, visual artist and film maker based in Tucson, Arizona.

Adorably Morbid was created out of my love for my home. I was born and raised in the mountains of Arizona, where the cycle of life is happening all around you. I always felt a deep fascination when I would come across bones and remains. It took me quite a few years before I realized that nature was offering me a copious amount of art supplies.

When I moved to Tucson I was reunited with a childhood love of mine: ceramics. I started taking classes at Pima Community College in 2022 and have been practicing since.

I find a lot of humor in my work. The comments I hear the most often are beautiful and disturbing. A reflection of nature can be seen in any medium I touch.
